cropped-KITA4-212x3001.jpgKITA Staff has received capacity building training in the design and delivery of competency based training in Pineapple and Citrus Value Chain with support from the German Development Organisation (GIZ) under the Agricultural Technical and Vocational Education and Training Program.

Under this CBT skill, KITA will be able to improve its training delivery to enhance effective skills adoption by learners and students on the Campus.

As part of this, A rigorous internal verification system for the implementation of the TVET system have been set up to ensure quality training delivery under the TVET system. This quality assurance system ensures that lessons are well planned, learning outcomes are well assessed, learners are assessed to adopt practical skills on how to demonstrate learning outcomes, assessors are verified through an internal verification system and program team hold meetings to assess remarks from the internal verifier before external verifiers also come in – before certificates are issued to learners.

This ensures effective quality assurance in training delivery that enhances teaching and learning and ensure that leaners gain competencies that can be applied in the workplace.

About 10 staff have undergone the training in CBT delivery.
